DIY WEDDING PLANNER

The Cuillin Collective is a company of filmmakers and animators here on the Isle of Skye. There’s four of us total. Myself, Ailsa and Helen all live and work on the Island and are very familiar with with the ins and outs and Juliet works remotely from Glasgow but enjoys exploring Skye when up visiting. Through my forays around the island over the years of living and filming here, I have accumulated lots of footage of the landscapes and even some of the weddings that have taken place on Skye. As we kept getting asked questions about various aspects of weddings, we decided to combine our talents and make a comprehensive film that covers everything you need to know about getting married on Skye.

We’ve named this film ‘The Definitive Guide to Getting Married on Skye’ and it does exactly what it sounds like. The film has been split into eight different segments, which will cover absolutely everything you can think of. From locations, accommodation, transport and catering to the weather, celebrants, local talent and the laws, we cover it all. And as we live and work here, we know everything about Skye, including both pros and cons. This guide is intended to be 100% honest about what it’s like getting married on Skye, especially about the weather, so we won’t gloss over the things you really need to know - like remembering your wellie boots.
